Celebrating Voices That Inspired Change, Courage, and Impact: QPNF International Women’s Day 2026 Challenge Winners Spotlight

At the Queen Precious Nwodo Foundation (QPNF), we believe that when women are given the opportunity to speak, their voices can transform communities, challenge limiting narratives, and inspire hope.

As part of our International Women’s Day 2026 Celebration, we launched the QPNF IWD Video Challenge titled “What Being A Woman Means To Me” under the global theme: “Give to Gain”

This initiative invited women to share their truth, their journey, and their message to the world. What followed was extraordinary. We received heartfelt, courageous, creative, and deeply moving entries from women who used their voices to speak on identity, strength, resilience, healing, confidence, purpose, and empowerment.

After a transparent judging process based on content, creativity, adherence to guidelines, impact, alignment with theme, and engagement, we are proud to officially celebrate our winners.

🏆 MEET THE WINNERS

Ezeh Cecilia’s entry stood out for its honesty, depth, and beautiful reminder that womanhood is often shaped not only by grand milestones but also by everyday resilience.

What message do you have for other women out there?

“Be yourself. You don’t have to shrink just to fit into society. Keep progressing, keep believing in yourself, keep expressing yourself, and keep loving the woman that you are.

🥈 Second Place Winner: Rita Masewanger Ukpo
Rita’s message was bold, empowering, and a call for women to recognise their worth, strength, and right to be heard.

🎤 What inspired your video?
“Over time, I’ve had to continuously prove that I’m enough and can be trusted. I’ve thought about how much effort I’ve had to make in order to be seen as capable, worthy, and responsible because I’m a woman.”

💜 What does being a woman mean to you?
“It means that I’m resilient, audacious, courageous, brave, and creative; and that I can achieve anything I set my mind to.”

🌟 What does this win mean to you?
“This win means that the world is already applauding and waiting for me to grace that stage, lend my voice, share my story, and inspire others.”

What message do you have for other women out there?
“Being a woman is already a full-time job. You deserve rest, care, and to be nurtured too. Nobody should silence you. Nobody should tell you to keep your head low or never speak in the presence of men; we’re no longer in the stone age, and you’re not a second-class citizen. You are creative, brilliant, hard-working, and worthy; so please speak up.”

🥉 Third Place Winner: Olajide Jennifer Rosemary
Jennifer’s entry resonated deeply through her honesty about marriage, motherhood, business, and the unseen emotional realities many women carry.

🎤 What inspired your video?
“What inspired my video is the gap between what I was told womanhood would be and what it actually turned out to be. Nothing prepared me for marriage, motherhood, or running a business while trying to keep myself together. I wanted to make a video that said, “I SEE YOU.”

💜 What does being a woman mean to you?
“Being a woman is waking up every day to roles that expect everything from me but still finding the courage to say, ‘I can give some, but not all,’ and that does not make me less. Being a woman to me is being both tough and fragile.”

🌟 What does this win mean to you?
“Coming 3rd among so many amazing women told me that my voice matters. This win felt like permission—permission to stop waiting until I have it all figured out and that when we speak, other women feel less alone.”

What message do you have for other women out there?
“You are enough. You are capable. You are not failing. The woman you see online who seems to have it all together has silent battles too. Keep showing up.”
